User terms for RejseBillet

Terms and conditions for RejseBillet

RejseBillet is a mobile application (hereinafter referred to as the "app" or "the application") developed by Re-jsekort & Rejseplan A/S for Android and iOS smartphones (hereinafter referred to as "mobile devices"). Rejse-Billet is offered and owned by Rejsekort & Rejseplan A/S, Automatikvej 1, 1., 2860 Søborg, CVR 27332072.
By using RejseBillet, you accept these terms and conditions. Therefore, we recommend that you read the terms carefully before using RejseBillet.

1. General information regarding RejseBillet

In RejseBillet, you can purchase travel documents in the form of single tickets, commuter products, and cer-tain additional services for public transportation in Denmark. Your purchased tickets/commuter products are displayed in the app, and you can also view your purchase transactions and provided personal data. In the app, you can also use various services, such as traffic information and favorite locations, and you can use the GPS of your mobile device to easily find your location when purchasing travel documents.
It is possible to use RejseBillet by simply registering a mobile phone number for the purchase of single tickets.
When purchasing commuter products, which are personal products, in RejseBillet, you will need to provide additional personal information, such as name, email address, and date of birth. You can find more infor-mation about the processing of personal data by Rejsekort & Rejseplan A/S in the privacy policy, which can be found at www.rejsekort.dk.

2. Travel regulations

In addition to these terms and conditions, the journey is also subject to the Joint National Travel Regulations, which provide information about through tickets, travel time guarantee or travel guarantee, compensation for delays, alternative transportation, liability for damages, and refunds among other things.

3. Types of tickets and validity

In RejseBillet, you can purchase travel documents for public transportation in the form of single tickets, com-muter products, and certain additional services. The availability of ticket types and additional services in the app depends on your geographical location and the specific travel needs you specify when using the app. The available ticket types and additional services may change over time, for example, due to fare changes or when the transport companies change their product assortments.
Before purchasing travel documents in RejseBillet, you will be informed about the validity of the selected ticket. You will be able to see which means of transport you can use, and the geographical area covered by the ticket. As these parameters depend on the specific ticket you purchase and where in the country the ticket is purchased, it is important to pay attention to this when purchasing travel documents.
A single ticket can be purchased either by specifying the specific start and end destination or as a zone ticket.

3.1. Single Tickets

A single ticket provides valid travel authorization from the specified start destination to the specified end desti-nation. The ticket is valid for one journey on the selected route on the date indicated on the ticket, using the means of transport specified on the ticket, with free transfer in the departure and arrival zone between trains, buses, metro, local trains, and light rails.
When purchasing a single ticket, it is possible to select DSB 1' Regional (RE) or DSB 1' Inter City (IC) for certain trips.
If DSB 1' IC is selected when purchasing a single ticket, the ticket will indicate DSB 1' IC, even if DSB does not necessarily offer DSB 1' for the entire journey. DSB 1' IC provides access to DSB 1' in IC, Lyntog, Lyn+ , and regional trains.

If DSB 1' RE is selected when purchasing a single ticket, the ticket will display DSB 1' RE, even if DSB does not necessarily offer DSB 1' for the entire journey. DSB 1' RE grants access to DSB 1' in regional trains but not in DSB 1' IC, Lyntog, and Lyn+.
DSB 1' IC and DSB 1' RE are fixed-price supplements to the standard ticket price and are therefore not de-pendent on the distance you travel. For further information about DSB 1' IC and RE, including associated ser-vices (such as access to certain beverages at 7-Eleven before and after the journey and the use of DSB 1' Lounges in Copenhagen, Aarhus, and Odense), please refer to DSB.
Please note that for single tickets for local journeys in Jutland and Funen that only involve buses, local train services, and/or light rail, the ticket's temporal validity corresponds to a zone ticket.
For single tickets for local journeys in Jutland and Funen, as well as journeys crossing the Great Belt, where Intercity trains, Express Trains, and/or regional trains are part of the journey, the temporal validity follows DSB's ticket day, which runs from 04:00 to 03:59 the next day. For tickets with departures between 00:00 and 03:59, the date on the ticket will be the calendar date. Please note that the journey must be commenced be-fore 03:59.
A single ticket for travel in Zealand, Lolland, Falster, and Møn, covering 8 zones or fewer, will be issued as a zone ticket. Therefore, the ticket will be subject to the rules for zone tickets, as described below.
For single tickets in Zealand, Lolland, Falster, and Møn, covering 9 zones or more, the temporal validity fol-lows DSB's ticket day, which runs from 04:00 to 03:59 the next day. For tickets with departures between 00:00 and 03:59, the date on the ticket will be the calendar date. Please note that the journey must be commenced before 03:59.

Refunds
Single tickets can be refunded until the day before departure.

3.2. Zone tickets

A zone ticket provides valid travel authorization in the selected zones during the validity period. The ticket is time-limited, and the validity period depends on the number of zones purchased and the location in the country where they are purchased. Regional differences exist in the duration of validity for zone tickets. The ticket must always be purchased based on the zone where you physically start your journey (the starting zone). The date and starting zone are displayed before the purchase and can always be found on the ticket itself.

When purchasing a zone ticket, it is possible to add DSB 1' Regional (RE) to certain journeys.

If DSB 1' RE is selected when purchasing a zone ticket, the ticket will display DSB 1' RE, even if DSB does not necessarily offer DSB 1' for the entire journey. DSB 1' RE grants access to DSB 1' on regional trains but not on DSB 1' IC, Lyntog, and Lyn+.

DSB 1' RE is a fixed-price supplement to the standard ticket price and is therefore not dependent on the distance you travel. For further information about DSB 1' IC and RE, including additional services associated with them (such as access to certain beverages at 7-Eleven before and after the journey, as well as access to the DSB 1' Lounges in Copenhagen, Aarhus, and Odense), please refer to DSB.

You pay for the number of zones you travel through, including the zone where the journey begins.

Zone tickets in Central Jutland (Midttrafik's area), South Jutland (Sydtrafik's area), and Funen (Fynbus' area) are only valid for travel by bus, light rail, and local train. Therefore, these tickets are not valid for train travel with DSB or Arriva.

For travel in Zealand, Lolland, Falster, and Møn (DOT's area), you can purchase zone tickets (2-8 zones), which are valid for an unlimited number of journeys by train, bus, local train, and metro within the validity period and the selected zones.

For travel in North Jutland (NT's area), you can purchase zone tickets (2-26 zones), which are valid for train, bus, and local train travel.

It is also possible to purchase zone tickets that are only valid for bus travel and the local railways Vemb-Lemvig-Thyborøn and Esbjerg-Varde-Nørre Nebel.

3.3. Commuter card

You can purchase a Commuter card in RejseBillet.

A Commuter card is a personal product that can only be used for travel within a specified period and in a predetermined geographical area. The customer can choose the period and the geographical area in which the Commuter card should be valid. However, for local Commuter Cards, the geographical area is predefined.

A Commuter card is a personal card that can only be used by the customer. The Commuter card allows travel only within the area and period for which the Commuter card is valid.

Certain services such as access to DSB 1' and Copenhagen metro require an add-on to the Commuter card, which you can read more about below.

When using a Commuter card, you must be able to present identification with your full name to the inspection personnel (health card, student card, driver's license, or passport).

Commuter card in RejseBillet is automatically activated and provide valid travel authorization from 00:00 on the first day of validity. The commuter period expires at 03:59:59 on the day after the expiration date and can be renewed in RejseBillet.

The price of a Commuter card is determined by each fare authority (transport company) and is determined, among other factors, by the length of the period, customer type, and geographical validity (route/zones). For more information on prices, including supplements for using the metro, Rejsekort & Rejseplan A/S refers you to the respective transport companies' websites.

A Commuter card can be issued for customer types 'Adult,' 'Child,' or 'Pensioner.' A Commuter card with the customer type 'Child' can be used by children up to and including 15 years of age.

When purchasing a Commuter card, it is possible to add DSB 1' Regional (RE) or DSB 1' Inter City (IC).

If DSB 1' IC is selected in connection with the purchase of a Commuter card, the Commuter card will indicate DSB 1' IC. DSB 1' IC provides access to DSB 1' in IC trains, Express trains (Lyntog), Express+ trains (Lyn+), and regional trains within the validity of the Commuter card.

If DSB 1' RE is selected in connection with the purchase of a Commuter card, the Commuter card will indicate DSB 1' RE. DSB 1' RE provides access to DSB 1' in regional trains within the validity of the Commuter card, but not DSB 1' IC, Lyntog, and Lyn+.

For more information about DSB 1' IC and RE, including associated services (such as access to certain beverages in 7-Eleven before and after the journey and access to DSB 1' Lounges in Copenhagen, Aarhus, and Odense), please refer to DSB.

Refunds:
A Commuter card can be canceled until the start of the first day of validity, after which a full refund will be given. Within the validity period, the Commuter card can be canceled, and the remaining period will be refunded minus the amount equivalent to 8 days of validity. Cancellation of a Commuter card cannot be reversed.

3.4. Commute20:

Commute20 is a personal product that is only sold in RejseBillet for use in the DOT's area (Sjælland, Lolland, Falster, and Møn).

Commute20 provides access to 20 travel days within a validity period of 60 consecutive days. On an activated travel day, you can travel freely within the specified zones covered by your Commute20. A travel day must be activated before boarding and is valid until 03:59 the following day. You activate a travel day in the app.

When traveling with your Commute20, you must be able to present identification with your full name upon request (health card, student card, driver's license, or passport).

Commute20 can be supplemented with DSB 1' Regional (RE) access.

If DSB 1’ RE is selected in connection with the purchase of Commute20, it will be displayed on Commute20 as DSB 1’ RE. DSB 1' RE provides access to DSB 1’ in regional trains within the validity of Commute20, but not in DSB 1' IC, Express, and Lyn+ trains.

For more information about DSB 1’ RE, including associated additional services (such as access to certain beverages at 7-Eleven before and after the journey, as well as the use of DSB 1’ Lounges in Copenhagen, Aarhus, and Odense), please refer to DSB.

Refunds:
If a Commute20 has not yet started its validity period of 60 days, it can be fully refunded directly through RejseBillet.

From the first day of validity, a deduction equivalent to the value of five travel days will be subtracted from the refund amount for any remaining unused travel days. For example, if there are ten remaining travel days on a valid Commute20, the refund will be equivalent to the value of five travel days. Refunds can only be requested before the expiration of the 60-day validity period. No refunds are provided after the 60-day period ends.

3.5. Special Tickets:

In RejseBillet, you have the option to purchase Special Tickets.

Special Tickets are tickets that the public transport operators can create as needed. In addition to providing access to public transportation, Special Tickets can also grant access to a specific event, such as a concert, festival, attraction, or similar.

The selection of Special Tickets in RejseBillet will change over time, and a specific Special Ticket will typically only be available for a specified period or until sold out.

The validity of a Special Ticket differs from other ticket types as it is specifically determined when the Special Ticket is created. A Special Ticket may include multiple persons, provide access to specific types of public transportation, or function as an admission ticket to events or attractions.

The validity of a Special Ticket is displayed in RejseBillet at the time of purchase and on the ticket itself.

Refund Policy

Rules for canceling a Special Ticket, including refund procedures, will be outlined for each specific Special Ticket.

Active Special Tickets cannot be canceled.

3.6. Additional Services:

3.6.1. Supplement for metro travel with Commuter card and Commute20:

To use your commuter product for metro travel, a supplement must be paid. The supplement remains the same, regardless of the number of zones on your Commuter product. By paying the supplement, your commuter product will be valid for bus, train, and metro travel.

If you have not paid the supplement for metro travel and need to travel by metro, you can purchase an additional ticket for one zone to complement your valid commuter product.

Refunds:

Refunds for the metro travel supplement are not provided separately and follow the refund rules for Commuter card and Commute20.

3.6.2. Additional ticket for 1 zone or supplement for metro travel:

It is possible to purchase an additional ticket (1 extra zone or supplement for metro travel) to extend the validity of a valid Commuter card or Commute20 by one zone. The ticket allows access to the metro for Commuter card in zones 1-4, where the supplement for metro travel has been waived, as well as in the extra zone specified on the additional ticket.

The additional ticket must be purchased before the validity of the commuter product expires and before boarding the metro or starting the journey in the additional zone. You can travel unlimitedly by bus, train, or metro within the validity period, which is 1 hour and 15 minutes.

The additional ticket is only valid in the DOT area, which includes Sjælland, Lolland, Falster, and Møn.

Refunds:

Additional tickets cannot be refunded.

3.6.3. Bicycle Ticket for the metro:

A Bicycle Ticket for the metro allows you to bring a bicycle on the metro outside of the restricted hours. Please note that the bicycle ticket does not grant you valid travel authorization but only allows you to bring a bicycle on your journey.
The bicycle ticket can be purchased separately by using the 'Bicycle' button in the ticket menu or within the same booking process as your own ticket.
The bicycle ticket is valid for 1 hour and 30 minutes and only for metro travel. For further information regarding the rules for bringing bicycles on the metro, including the restricted hours, please refer to the Joint National Travel Regulations.

3.6.4. DSB 1' Supplement Ticket:

For journeys involving DSB IC, Express, Express+, or regional trains, it is possible to purchase a DSB 1' RE or IC Supplement Ticket in RejseBillet. This type of ticket does not constitute valid travel authorization on its own.

Therefore, it is a requirement for this product that you have separate valid travel authorization in the form of a single or zone ticket or a Commuter card.

If DSB 1' IC is chosen, the ticket will indicate DSB 1' IC. DSB 1' IC provides access to DSB 1' IC, Express, Express+, and regional trains.

If DSB 1' RE is chosen, the ticket will indicate DSB 1' RE. DSB 1' RE provides access to DSB 1' regional trains, but not DSB 1' IC, Lyntog, or Lyn+.

For more information about DSB 1' RE and DSB 1' IC, including associated additional services (such as access to certain beverages at 7-Eleven before and after the journey, as well as the use of DSB 1’ Lounges in Copenhagen, Aarhus, and Odense), please refer to DSB.

Refunds:
It is possible to refund a DSB 1' Supplement Ticket until the day before departure.

3.7. General Information about ticket and Commuter card Validity in RejseBillet:

Tickets are only valid once they have been received on the mobile device, are active, and can be presented upon request. This must be done before the start of the journey.
A travel day on the Commute20 is only valid once it has been activated in the app, which must be done before the start of the journey.

you lose/forget your mobile device, if it runs out of battery, or you are otherwise unable to display your ticket or have it scanned, for example, due to a cracked screen, you must obtain another valid form of travel authori-zation before starting your journey. If you fail to do so, you do not have valid travel authorization, and you may be subject to a control fee.
The last boarding must occur before the ticket expires. Upon expiration of your ticket, you can complete the journey within the zones covered by the ticket. However, you cannot transfer to another bus, train, light rail, or metro.
Copying, forging, or altering tickets purchased through RejseBillet, as well as transferring them to another per-son, is illegal. It is also illegal to travel with counterfeit or copied tickets. Misuse can be reported to the police. Please read further about the potential consequences of misuse of RejseBillet in the "Misuse" section later in this document.
Commuter cards and activated travel days on the Commute20 are valid for an unlimited number of journeys by bus and train within the validity period and the selected zones. If you have purchased the supplement for metro travel for your Commuter card/Commute20, it is also possible to travel by metro.
Tickets that are valid for one day and Commuter cards that are valid for a period of 30-60 days are valid until 03:59:59 the following night after the last day of validity. Zone tickets are valid during the time period indicated on the ticket. An activated travel day on the Commute20 is valid until 03:59:59 the day after activation.
When purchasing a bicycle ticket for the metro, please be aware that there are times when bicycle carriage is not allowed.

4. Delivery and Transfer of Tickets and Commuter cards

Tickets and commuter pass purchased through RejseBillet are delivered to and stored on the mobile device where the app is installed, as well as the phone number you register with. Therefore, you need to confirm your phone number through an SMS code.
If you uninstall and reinstall the RejseBillet app on your mobile device or change your phone number, you can transfer your valid tickets, receipts, and customer information to your device/new phone number if you have registered your email. You need to use your email to restore your user profile. The email must be unique, meaning that there should not be multiple app users registered with the same email. If you have not provided your email, you can contact the Rejsekort Customer Service for assistance with the transfer.

Please note that you can transfer your user profile a maximum of 5 times to another mobile device. Further-more, your profile on RejseBillet can only be active on one mobile device at a time. It is not possible to print tickets and Commuter cards purchased in RejseBillet.

5. Inspection

Tickets must be presented to the inspection personnel upon request. The inspection personnel must be able to verify the ticket's validity by scanning the ticket or making a control call to the phone number associated with the ticket. It is therefore your responsibility to ensure that your mobile device is in a condition that allows this. Please note that a cracked screen may prevent a scan of the ticket. For further information about ticket inspection rules, please refer to the Joint National Travel Regulations.

6. Communication in RejseBillet

In RejseBillet, you can provide feedback on your experience with the app. You will also receive relevant ser-vice information through the app's message center - please note that this function cannot be disabled.
If you need assistance, such as regarding refund requests for tickets or unused/remaining periods on Com-muter cards, you can contact the Rejsekort Customer Service. Inquiries should be directed to the Rejsekort Customer Center via the contact form at https://www.rejsekort.dk/Kundecenter-privat/Kontaktformular or by phone at 70 11 33 33.

7. Payment methods / Payment cards

You can pay with MobilePay or credit/debit cards in RejseBillet.
The following payment cards are accepted: Visa/Dankort, Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, and Maestro. The payment will be deducted from your account when the ticket is delivered to your smartphone.

8. Receipts

By default, you have access to view your purchase receipts directly in RejseBillet under the 'Profile' menu and the 'Previous Purchases' submenu.
You also have the option to send your receipts to yourself via email, if you have registered your email in RejseBillet.
Please note that receipts from RejseBillet cannot be used as valid tickets.

9. Changes

During the validity period of your tickets, it is not possible to change zones or validity periods for the tickets you have purchased. An activated travel day on the Commute20 cannot be undone or changed.
Your customer card number on the Commuter card will change if you choose a new zone combination. In rare cases, there may be adjustments to the zone composition for a given relation between a departure zone and a destination zone, so even if you have not made any changes when renewing your Commuter card, the cus-tomer card number may still change.

10. Refunds

You can request a refund for your Commuter card and Commute20 from the app via the 'Purchase History' menu. This is only possible if the payment card you used for the purchase is still active. If payment was made with MobilePay, the refund will be issued to the account linked to your MobilePay. If the payment card is no longer active, you need to contact the Rejsekort Customer Service to request a refund for your Commuter card or Commute20.

Tickets, in general, cannot be exchanged or changed. For rules regarding the refund of single tickets, please refer to the relevant sections above in these terms, which describe the rules for the different ticket types.
In special situations, tickets may be refunded in cases other than those described in the relevant sections above in these terms. This may occur, for example, if it was not possible to use the ticket due to technical er-rors or service disruptions from the transportation companies, and there was no possibility of alternative trans-portation.

If payment cannot be made to the payment card or MobilePay account used to purchase the Commuter card, the customer should contact the Rejsekort Customer Service to arrange payment to a bank account specified by the customer in a Danish financial institution. If the customer does not have an account in a Danish finan-cial institution, payment can be made to a foreign account (contact the Rejsekort Customer Service for further information).
