You can now buy an anonymous Basiskort.
Below, you can see where and how to buy it, and how to travel with it.

  • Anyone can use the card – also if you lose it and someone else finds it
  • As a user of the card, you have all rights and obligations related to the use of the card
  • There is no right of withdrawal when purchasing or using the card
  • You must keep yourself informed about changes via rejsekort.dk under Terms and Conditions
  • The card can be used on buses, trains, metro and light rail, on Skånetrafiken trains in Denmark, and on bus line 110 Sønderborg–Flensburg
  • It cannot be used on Bornholm or in Sweden
  • You can add extra passengers, dogs and bicycles when checking in

You can purchase your anonymous Basiskort at selected points of sale. The price of the card is DKK 80. In addition, you must add the amount you top up the card with.

The card price is non-refundable. This also applies if:

  • The card is closed
  • The card is blocked
  • The anonymous Basiskort is phased out or replaced by a new solution

Your anonymous Basiskort is initially set up for local travel. You can have your travel setting changed at all points of sale. Later, it will also be possible to do so by calling Rejsekort Customer Centre.

If you need to travel between regions with the card, you must first make sure it is set up for this. Journeys between Zealand, Funen, Southern Jutland, Central Jutland, and Northern Jutland requires a higher minimum balance of DKK 600 per adult and DKK 300 per child.

You can have the setting changed at one of our points of sale. Once the card is set up, you can travel between regions immediately.

Your travel setting describes:

  • whether you only travel within regions (Zealand, Funen, Southern Jutland, Central Jutland, and Northern Jutland): “Local”, or
  • whether you travel across regions: “Travel between regions”.

You can also see the division in the letter accompanying the card when you receive it.

All cards are set to Local upon purchase. You must choose Travel between regions yourself. Please note that this affects the minimum balance:

  • For Local travel, the balance must always be at least DKK 70 on the card for Adults and DKK 35 for Children.
  • For Travel between regions, the balance must always be at least DKK 600 on the card for Adults and DKK 300 for Children.

The card is set to Adult upon purchase by default. You must request a change to Child yourself. Remember to bring documentation in case of inspection.

Please note: You can only receive information about and change your customer type when topping up your card or purchasing it.

Also remember that the minimum balance changes when changing to Child.

  • Customer type Child (under 16 years)
  • Customer type Adult (16 years and over)

Later, it will be possible to view your information in Self-Service. Until then, you can:

  • Obtain your travel history at selected points of sale (see the tab Travel locally or between regions) and via Rejsekort Customer Centre
  • Obtain information about your volume discount at selected points of sale and via Rejsekort Customer Centre
  • Obtain information about your customer type and travel setting at selected points of sale or via Rejsekort Customer Centre

The anonymous Basiskort must be topped up. This means that you must add money to the card at a point of sale either with cash or by payment card. You can only top up in whole kroner.

You must top up your anonymous Basiskort when you reach the minimum balance. If the minimum balance is not met, you cannot check in and therefore cannot continue travelling with a valid ticket.

  • The minimum balance depends on customer type, travel setting and number of passengers.
  • The minimum top-up amount is DKK 100 regardless of the existing balance on the card.
  • Maximum balance is DKK 2,200.
  • In case of a negative balance, the balance must immediately be settled by topping up.

You must remember to check in every time you board a means of transport and check out every time you leave it. This also applies when changing means of transport.

If you forget to check out, you will automatically be checked out after 12 hours. After that, you will no longer have a valid ticket.

Partial journeys can be linked if a new check-in takes place within 30 minutes.

Failure to check in or out means that you are travelling without a valid ticket. In case of inspection, a penalty fare will be issued. If we cannot register your journey correctly, you will be charged a standard fare for the journey. You can see the standard fares at www.rejsekort.dk under Terms and Conditions.

Repeated failure to check out may result in the card being blocked.

You can close your card at a point of sale, but any remaining balance must be refunded via Rejsekort Customer Centre. The point of sale will guide you on how to complete a form and submit your Basiskort to Rejsekort Customer Centre.

If you wish to have your balance refunded, your card will always be closed. The entire balance is refunded in one payment.

  • Please also note that when refunding a remaining balance, you must submit your card to Rejsekort Customer Centre. Therefore, you cannot remain anonymous when requesting a balance refund.

If you lose your anonymous Basiskort, it cannot be blocked. The card can be used by anyone – including anyone who may find it. Therefore, your balance can neither be secured nor refunded, and you must purchase a new anonymous Basiskort yourself if the card is lost.
