The childs account and data

The childs profile

If you entered your child’s name or date of birth incorrectly in the app, you can easily change it:

On your child’s phone, open the app and tap on Settings in the menu. Here, you can update both the name and date of birth if they were entered incorrectly.

Yes, you can. Just go to your child’s profile on your own phone:

Select Children in the menu and choose the child or children you want to pause. Then select Pause under Payment on each child’s profile.

The child’s profile will still exist, but the child will not be able to travel, as there is no longer a linked payment method or an adult responsible for the child’s trips during the pause.

A child can only have one active profile in the Rejsekort app at a time.

If you need to share payment for the child’s trips with another person, you can do the following:

Both parties create a profile for the child in their own Rejsekort app. The child will then need to log in and out of these profiles each time a switch is needed.

This also means that each adult must send a login code every time the child needs to log in to a different profile. You do this via the Children menu. Under the child’s profile, you can find the login code, which can be copied or sent—just like when the profile was first created.

Please note that any earned volume discount (only valid in Western Denmark) cannot be shared and will only accumulate on one profile.

When your child gets a new phone, simply invite them to Rejsekort as an app the same way you did the first time:

Tap Children in the menu and select the profile of the child who has a new phone. Then tap Code. You can now copy and share the new code with your child, who can use it to log in to their profile on the new phone.

Location data

The app uses location data to identify the stations and stops where your child checks in and out. This data is also used to calculate the fare and ensure that your child always has a valid ticket.

Location data also enables the app to remind your child to check out, or to check them out automatically if Smart check-out is enabled.

The app only collects location data while it is active and between check-in and check-out.

Language selection

Rejsekort app supports Danish and English in the app. The app selects the language based on your phone’s language settings.

So if you want to switch from English to Danish or vice versa, you need to do so in your phone’s settings—not in the app.

Deactivate

You can deactivate your child’s account by selecting Settings in your own app’s menu. Choose Children and select your child’s profile. Under Payments, tap Confirm under the following text:

If you withdraw your acceptance to cover your child’s travel expenses, it means the child can no longer travel with the app.

You will still be able to view trips from the past 36 months.

If you stop paying for your child’s trips, the connection between your profiles will be removed. Therefore, your child will no longer be able to travel with the app.

We store your child’s travel data for 36 months from the time the information is registered. After that, the data is anonymised and can no longer be linked to your child.
You can read more about why we do this in our Privacy Policy →

As a passenger in public transport, you have the right to file a complaint for up to 36 months after the journey.

To be able to process any complaints, we store your child’s travel data for 36 months from the date of registration. During this period, your child’s account will remain deactivated rather than being deleted.
