Creating a Custumer Type for  pensioners under 67

Creating a Custumer Type

How to create customer type Pensioner under 67 in the Rejsekort app?

Before you start, make sure you have these ready:

  • Your MitID (the one you use to log in to public websites)

  • Your CPR number (personal ID number)

Step by step:

  1. Download the Rejsekort app to your smartphone.

  2. Open the app and create a profile. You can follow a setup guide if you need help.

  3. Make sure you enter your full name exactly as it appears on your health insurance card.

  4. Tap the three small lines in the top left corner of the app.

  5. Select Settings from the menu.

  6. Tap Change customer type.

  7. Select Pensioner – this customer type also applies if you are an early retirement pensioner.

  8. You will be asked to use your MitID so we can confirm your identity.

  9. Enter your CPR number. We do not save it – it is only used to check if you are entitled to the customer type Pensioner.

You will get an immediate response in the app. If no further information is needed, your customer type will change to Pensioner and be displayed at the top of the app’s home screen next to your name right away.

That means you can now travel at a lower price.

If we need more information, you will be redirected to an application form with just a few fields. The required documentation will be specified in the form.

You can expect a response to the application form within 10 working days.

If you do not have MitID, you can read more under the section Apply for customer type Pensioner under 67 without MitID.

Please also note that the physical Pensioner Card you already know will remain unchanged and continue to function as before.

You can still travel at a lower price as a pensioner under 67 – even if you don’t have MitID. Just follow these steps:

1. Start by downloading the Rejsekort app and creating a profile:

  • Download the app on your mobile phone.

  • Open the app and create a profile with your name and contact details.

  • Make sure your name is entered correctly and matches your health insurance card.

2. Once your profile is created:

  • In the app, tap the three horizontal lines in the top left corner.

  • Select Settings.

  • Select Change customer type.

  • Tap Pensioner.

  • Tap I don’t have MitID.

  • You will now be redirected to an application form.

3. In the application form you must:

  • Upload ID (e.g. health insurance card or driver’s license).

  • Upload proof that you receive early retirement pension (e.g. a payment letter).

  • Enter the same information (name, email, and phone number with country code) as you used in your app profile.

4. What happens next?
A Rejsekort Customer Center employee will manually process your application and notify you by email once your application has been processed and your customer type Pensioner is activated.

Please note that it may take up to 10 working days before you receive a reply.

Until then, you will travel at full price with the customer type Adult, which you received when creating your profile.

You can also fill out this application form: Apply Pensioner under 67.

Remember that you must first have created your profile in the app.

Please also note that the physical Pensioner Card you already know will remain unchanged and continue to function as before.

Sometimes the Rejsekort app cannot automatically find your information.

If this happens, you will be given the option to fill out an application form instead. (form only in English).

In the form you must:

  • Upload proof that you receive early retirement, fractional, early, or senior pension – for example, a payment letter

  • Enter your details such as name, email, and phone number with country code, exactly as you entered them in your app profile

Once you have submitted the application, a Rejsekort Customer Center employee will manually process it and notify you by email when your application has been reviewed and your customer type Pensioner is activated.

Please note that it may take up to 10 working days before you receive a reply.

Until then, you will travel at full price with the customer type Adult, which you received when creating your profile.

You must be at least 18 years old to register as a pensioner under 67.

When you see Pensioner in the app, it applies to all types of pensioners – including early pensioners. In the Rejsekort app, everyone entitled to a pensioner discount is shown as Pensioner.

This also applies if you:

  • Receive early retirement pension (early, senior, or partial pension including fractional pension)

  • Are over 67 years old

So even though it says Pensioner, it also covers you if you are an early retirement pensioner.
You can therefore safely use the app and travel at a lower price.

If you apply directly from the app, you will immediately get a response in the app letting you know whether your application has been approved or if you need to apply via the application form.

You will be notified right after you submit your application.

If you have filled out an application form, it may take up to 10 working days before you receive a reply.

We will send the response to the email address you entered in the application form.
