Get started

It is an advantage to have your MitID and CPR number ready, so we can check whether you have previously had a Rejsekort with a disability discount. If that is the case, we can quickly transfer your profile with the lower travel fare to the app.

If you have not previously travelled with the customer type “Disability”, you will be given the opportunity to submit an application to the Rejsekort Customer Centre. In that case, you will need to provide documentation showing that you are entitled to travel with the customer type “Disability”, as well as your personal details so we can find you in our systems.

When you select “Disability” as your customer type in the Rejsekort app, you give Rejsekort & Rejseplan A/S permission to process your CPR number. We do not store your CPR number but use it only to verify whether you are entitled to travel with the customer type “Disability”. This allows us to register you quickly and easily without requiring you to send additional documentation.

Because this involves health information, we also ask you to consent to being registered with the customer type “Disability”.

How to get the customer type “Disability” as an adult:

  1. Download the Rejsekort app and create your profile.

  2. Tap the three horizontal lines in the upper left corner and select Settings.

  3. Choose Change customer type and then select Disability.

  4. You will immediately receive a response directly in the app. If no further information is required, your customer type will be changed to Disability and displayed at the top of the app’s home screen next to your name. This means that you can now travel at a lower fare.

If further information is needed, you will be directed to an application form with just a few fields. The required documentation will be specified in the form.

You can expect a response to the application form within 10 business days.

If you need to register a child in the Rejsekort app with the customer type Disability, please read the section How your child can get the customer type Disability.

You must first create an app profile for yourself on your own phone. Then, create a profile for your child in the Rejsekort app on the child’s phone.

You can only apply for the customer type Disability for a child via an application form. You must be over 18 years old and have parental authority or be the child’s legal guardian.

To apply for the customer type Disability for a child under 18, you must contact Rejsekort Customer Service at 70113333. They will send you an application form. In the form, you must upload documentation of the child’s identity and proof that the child is entitled to travel with the customer type Disability. 

Application form for customer type Disability – child

  • Confirm the child’s identity by uploading, for example, a health insurance card or passport.

  • Confirm the child’s disability by uploading a copy of a companion card or membership card.

  • Provide both your own and the child’s information exactly as registered in the Rejsekort app. This ensures that you are the parent or legal guardian of the child.

Remember to tick the box confirming that you are applying on behalf of a child before submitting the application.

Once you have submitted the application, an employee at the Rejsekort Customer Centre will manually process it and notify you by email when the application has been completed and the child’s customer type Disability has been activated.

Please note that processing may take up to 10 business days.

Until then, the child will travel at the child fare with the customer type Child or at the youth fare with the customer type Youth, as assigned when you created the child’s profile.

If you do not have MitID, you can still get the customer type Disability in the Rejsekort app by filling in an application form. Contact Rejsekort Customer Service at 70113333 to get the application form.

Remember to create a profile in the app before completing the form.

How to do it:

  1. Download the Rejsekort app to your phone and create a profile.

  2. Tap the three horizontal lines in the upper left corner and select Settings.

  3. Tap Change Customer Type and select Disability.

  4. Then choose Apply without MitID. You will now be redirected to an application form.

  5. Click Continue to application.

In the form, you must:

  • Upload documentation of your identity (e.g. health insurance card or driver’s license).

  • Upload documentation that you are entitled to the customer type Disability (Companion Card Denmark, membership card for the Danish Association of the Blind, or card from Synscenter Refnæs).

  • Enter your contact information (name, email, and phone number) exactly as registered in the app.

An employee at the Rejsekort Customer Centre will review your application and notify you by email when your application has been processed and your customer type has been changed to Disability.

Please note that processing may take up to 10 business days.

Until you receive a response, you will travel with the customer type assigned to you based on your age when you created your profile in the app.

If you apply directly from the app, you will immediately receive a response in the app telling you whether your application has been approved or if you need to apply via the application form.

You will be notified right after you have submitted your application.

If you have completed an application form, it may take up to 10 business days before you receive a response. We will send the response to the email address you provided in the application form.
